Commissioner determinations

When a bond dispute is referred, everyone is invited to make a submission and has 10 days to send evidence. You can ask for an extension.

Consumer Protection lists evidence that is useful from tenants: dated photos showing damage existed at the start, the marked-up ingoing PCR, emails with the landlord about the claim, written agreements about modifications, and rent and utility payment records.

After a decision, you have 7 days to appeal to the Magistrates Court. The bond is held for 7 days before it is paid out.
