Privacy policy

We follow the Australian Privacy Principles. We collect your email, tenancy details, photos you take in the app, and (only if you allow it) location at the time of capture.

Why: to create your records, reports and reminders. We don't sell your data or market to your landlord or agent.

AI processing: resized copies of your photos are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to draft descriptions and comparisons. [Lawyer: confirm the countries where processing occurs for APP 8 disclosure.]

Storage: your data is stored in Sydney, Australia. Photos you share via a link are visible to whoever has the link until it expires or you revoke it.

Next tenant sharing (optional): if you switch it on at move-out, the next BondLoop user at the same address who buys Move-in Plus can see your final walk-through: photos, item statuses and notes, without your name or contact details. You can switch it off at any time. [Lawyer: confirm APP 6 consent wording.]

Retention: closed tenancies are kept for 3 years, then deleted after a 30-day email notice. Deleted accounts are removed within 30 days; backups roll off within 35 days. Purchase records are kept for 5 years for tax.

Access, correction and deletion: export or delete your data from Account in the app or on this website.
